Which Solo 3 Stems and Accessories Fit the Arizer Air SE?

Yes: the Arizer Air SE uses the same 14 mm glass aroma stems, steel filter screens and stem caps as the Solo series, and every Solo and Air stem, screen, water adapter and O-ring listed below names the Air SE as compatible on its product page. The exceptions are parts built for Solo 3 only, such as its XL tube system, and anything made for the ArGo, which has different stems. This guide shows what fits, what to check before you buy, and which parts are worth having first.

Arizer's own Air SE listing refers to its box contents as "Air / Solo" parts, which is the clearest sign of the shared design. If you are still choosing between the two devices, read our Solo 3 vs Air SE review, and see the Arizer hub for more guides.

Classic long straight glass stems for the Arizer Solo 3 and Air SE

1. Why the Parts Are Shared

The Air SE is the entry-level model in Arizer's Air line. It has a ceramic heater, five preset temperatures, a replaceable 18650 battery and micro-USB charging. Arizer lists the box as one 18650 battery, a 70 mm glass aroma tube, a 70 mm PVC travel tube, an "Air / Solo" stem cap, a USB-A to micro-USB cord and four "Air / Solo" steel filter screens. The Solo 3 uses the same family of glass aroma tubes, so a Vapetrix stem that fits the portable Solo and Air range also fits the SE.

2. Fit Table

Part Listed as compatible with Air SE? Notes
110 mm long straight stems Yes Pack of 2, 14 mm diameter, more cooling than the short stem
70 mm short stems Yes Pack of 2, same length as the stem in the Air SE box
Domed filter screens Yes 12 mm diameter; fine, standard and coarse mesh, stainless steel or brass
14 mm water adapter Yes Pack of 2, for use with a 14 mm water pipe
Side bubbler Yes Water tank attached to the side, no adapter needed
Tactical hard shell case Yes Foam-lined, dual-latch case; the listing names the Solo 3 and Air SE
O-ring gasket kit Yes Three sizes, pack of 6 silicone rings

3. Stems

The two standard stem lengths are 70 mm and 110 mm. The 70 mm stem is the one supplied with the Air SE and is the more portable choice, with a warmer, more intense feel according to our product listing. The 110 mm stem gives vapor a longer path, so it feels cooler, but it is less pocket-friendly. Both are borosilicate glass, 14 mm in diameter, and the product page notes they may feel slightly loose in some heavily used devices, which is where the O-ring kit helps. Our article on high air flow stems explains the airflow-focused designs.

4. Screens and O-Rings

Your Air SE comes with four steel filter screens, but Arizer's own support page notes that metal screens are included for convenience while making vapor harsher and diminishing flavor. Its glass aroma tubes have a built-in screen, so Arizer recommends whole or coarsely ground herb with no metal screen for smooth, flavorful vapor. If you do use screens, they are consumables, so a spare pack saves interruptions. The domed screens push into the glass stem with a finger and come out with a pick. The product page describes fine mesh as giving greater filtration with slightly tighter airflow, while standard and coarse meshes give more open draws. If a stem fits loosely, the three-size O-ring kit gives you a choice of gasket, and our O-ring guide helps you pick.

5. Water Adapters and Bubblers

For water, you have two options. The 14 mm adapter lets the Air SE plug into a 14 mm water pipe you already own. The side bubbler is a self-contained piece, 145 mm long with roughly 50 ml of water capacity, and it needs no adapter. Check your pipe's joint size before ordering the adapter, and keep the device upright so no water can reach the heater.

6. What Not to Assume

  • Solo 3-only tubes. The Solo 3 V2.0 ships with its own XL stem system. Unless a product page names the Air SE, do not assume an XL or Solo 3-specific tube fits.
  • ArGo parts. The ArGo uses different stems, and our listings exclude it.
  • Battery and charger. The Air SE charges by micro-USB and uses a removable 18650, whereas the Solo 3 uses USB-C and a sealed pack. Do not swap batteries or chargers between them.
  • Carry cases. The tactical hard shell case lists the Air SE as compatible. The separate leather-trim case for Air models is out of stock, so we are not linking it. Check the foam cutouts against your own stems before relying on any case.

If a listing does not state that it fits the Air SE, check the compatible-devices line on the product page or ask us first.

7. How to Check Fit Before You Buy

  1. Read the compatible devices line. Every Vapetrix Arizer listing has one. Look for "Arizer Air SE" by name.
  2. Check the diameter. The stems and adapters are 14 mm and the screens are 12 mm. Do not buy parts sized for the ArGo.
  3. Seat it gently. Arizer notes that glass aroma tubes may fit tightly at first. Do not force a tube that will not go in.
  4. Test with the device cold. Insert, remove and re-insert the stem before you load it, then listen for a clean seal when you draw.

8. Care for Shared Parts

Because the stems and screens are interchangeable across Solo and Air devices, the same cleaning routine applies. Arizer's manuals suggest soaking the glass parts in isopropyl alcohol for a couple of hours and rinsing with hot water, and making sure everything is completely dry before use. Arizer also lists the Air SE as having up to 80 minutes of use per charge, fast micro-USB charging and a use-while-charging feature, so a second pre-loaded stem is an easy way to swap sessions quickly. Pre-load a stem at home, cap it, and swap it in when you are ready.

9. What to Buy First

  1. A second stem, so you can pre-load one while using the other: 70 mm for travel or 110 mm for cooler draws.
  2. A spare pack of filter screens, if you like to use them.
  3. An O-ring kit if your stems feel loose.
  4. A 14 mm adapter or the side bubbler if you want water.

The full list is in the Solo, Air and Max accessories collection.

Final Thoughts

Air SE owners can use the Solo and Air parts that already fill our shop, as long as each page lists the SE. Start with a second stem, add screens if you prefer them, add water only if you want it, and keep Solo 3-only parts for Solo 3 owners.
